Palihotel San Francisco

The hotel had a charming aesthetic, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The noise level was bothersome, especially at night, and the lack of a bar or restaurant was disappointing. A decent choice for its location but not without its flaws.

The hotel offers a wide range of food that was excellent.

Its location was marvellous, just next door to downtown, Union Square and all the upmarket shops and china town, the harbour and more. The room was beautifully maintained and newly decorated in general,...  

You get what you see on the website. The room is nice and comfortable but dont expect it to be big. Overall, the suite room is great for me.

There's a pub on the 2nd floor and it can get quite loud. I'm a heavy sleeper so it's fine with me but guess it's not the case with my partner who is a light sleeper.

Loved the room and the hotel bar was the nicest one i have ever seen.

Breakfast could have been better and hours for it extended.

Location

The room was very very small. The view from all rooms is awfull. Don't agree to live on the 3rd floor or you will hear the music from the lower bar all night.

The charming atmosphere and wonderful staff made my stay special, and being just a few steps from union square made walking around the city easy.

Clean room and not too small, breakfast ok, very good location, public garage accross the street with much more interesting rates than the ones proposed by the hotel

Absolutely no insulation (thermal and phonic: rather noisy street), bad reception (woman completely lost between clients, phone calls and her computer!), no minibar

Staff was very courteous and breakfast was included.

Short, sweet, and to the point

Stylish and modern rooms with a convenient location that's a quick walk to Union Square. The staff, especially Lovely and Rachel, were accommodating, our stay was good. Just a heads up, the street noise can be challenging for light sleepers. A great spot for a city retreat!

Continental breakfast was good. Free Wi Fi was a plus.

Room was so small with no place to unpack things. Minimal space in the bathroom for toilet articles. Towels were like sandpaper and we were not given a full set (towel, hand towel and washcloth) for each of us each day. Elevator was unreliable.

Everything was great, but the towels are horrible!!

Location was good for what we had planned for our last 2 days in sfo. Buy a day pass on trolly--much cheaper at $14 and saves walking up those hilly streets. Covered the area we were planning on going to....  

Great location just steps from Union Square, charming decor, spacious King Room, and unique complimentary coffee on the second floor.

Would recomand. The venue is clean, with marvellous location close enough to China Town, and shops and cable car lines. Make sure to get double room with super comfortable bed, a big bathtub and...
